Agreement to Terms

Welcome to COB ("Converter Bulk"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website located at cob-seven.vercel.app (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.

Description of Service

COB is a free online file conversion service that allows users to convert various file formats to PDF and perform other document operations. Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Converting Word documents (DOCX) to PDF
  • Converting PowerPoint presentations (PPTX) to PDF
  • Converting Excel spreadsheets (XLSX) to PDF
  • Converting images to PDF
  • Converting PDF to images
  • Merging multiple PDF files
  • Splitting PDF documents
  • Compressing PDF files
  • Converting HTML content to PDF

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Upload, convert, or transmit any files containing viruses, malware, or malicious code
  • Upload any content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others
  • Upload any illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
  • Use automated tools or bots to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to process classified, top-secret, or highly sensitive government documents
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without permission

User Content and Files

Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the files you upload to COB. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your content.

Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the files you upload and convert using our Service. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to use and convert the files
  • The files do not violate any laws or third-party rights
  • The files do not contain illegal or prohibited content

File Processing and Deletion

For client-side conversions, files are processed entirely in your browser and never transmitted to our servers. For server-side conversions, files are temporarily stored only for the duration of the conversion process and are automatically deleted immediately after conversion completes.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by COB and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any conversions
  • Warranties that defects will be corrected

You understand and agree that you use the Service at your own risk. We recommend keeping backup copies of all important files before conversion.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COB AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of data or files
  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Corruption of converted files
  • Interruption of business
  • Any damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid to us in the past twelve (12) months, which for a free service is zero dollars ($0).

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless COB and its operators from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any content you upload or convert using the Service

Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

Third-Party Links and Services

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by COB. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you visit.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
